Simple syrup...it's, well, it's simple really. All you do is combine equal parts sugar and water, add heat, and like magic you have liquid sugar to add to drinks, brush on cakes, or mix into frosting.
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup granulated sugar
Stir water and sugar together in a medium saucepan. Cook over medium heat until sugar is totally dissolved. Pour into a glass jar and allow to cool. Store in fridge for up to a month.
